Our Story

Thrift Well is a non-profit thrift store supporting The Well at Eagles Nest Regeneration; a faith-based, in-residence substance abuse treatment facility for women in the New River Valley.

Thrift Well began as a way to provide a therapeutic worksite for “The Well,” helping women with substance abuse challenges get a second chance at life. We wanted to provide an organized opportunity for women to get to know Jesus Christ; to break free from addiction and begin their journey of restoration and redemption. We are here to offer hope that recovery is possible, and to equip women with the tools for sustainable recovery

How We Got Started

Opening in June 2023, Thrift Well is a culmination of a many years long vision of Eagles Nest Regeneration (ENR). Eagles Nest has longed to open a women’s in-residence substance abuse treatment program equivalent to their men’s recovery program that has been in operation in the New River Valley since 2004. Eagles Nest operates multiple industries to help financially support our mission. ENR currently owns Transformation Painting, Transformations Grounds, and Transformation Excavating Services which support the men’s program. Thrift Well is ENR’s newest industry that supports the women’s program, The Well. In addition to supporting the mission financially, these industries serve a critical role as therapeutic worksites for the men and women during their treatment programs. The daily operations of these businesses provide opportunities for the individuals to build character, integrity and work ethic, as well as learn valuable trade skills, increasing their employability after program completion.

Donations

We accept donations of clothing and household goods at the store and through our pickup services. Through their donations, the community has an opportunity to partner with us in helping women break free from addiction, restoring women to their families, and ultimately saving lives.

We are located at 1130 Cambria St in the old Amelias Pizza.
